The Horween Duffel combines the beauty of Horween leather with a vintage silhouette. Whether you'll be spending 200 days a year on the road, or just taking a change of clothing to the gym, the Horween Duffel will be your timeless, durable companion.
The design of the bag is clean, functional and classic. There’s a single zipper compartment with two solid-brass YKK #10 pulls. In lieu of the standard brass pulls, we’re making our own from the same Horween leather as the bag, and riveting them. The handles are made of a burnished Horween latigo leather in a matching color. They are riveted and sewn to the sides of the duffel for an extra-durable connection. An adjustable shoulder strap is also made of this latigo leather, and provides additional carrying options for your travels. The interior is simple and open, and the seams are finished cleanly with binding. Finally, we've finished these duffels with three leather feet on the bottom for extra durability.
These bags are made in California by craftsmen who have been making bags longer than we’ve been alive. It’s in their blood. Yes, it’s their job, but it’s also their hobby and passion. They eat, breathe and live making some of the finest bags in the country.
For this bag, we're using Dublin leather from the Horween Leather Company in Chicago - the oldest and most well-respected tannery in the United States. Dublin is the result of an experiment where Horween asked themselves, “What if we take a top quality cowhide and tan it with the same liquor we use to tan Shell Cordovan?" The result is a beautiful, durable leather that has particularly rich coloring. For this duffel we’re using one of our favorite colors - Nut Brown. It’s a dark-brown shade that has mild highs and lows. It ages beautifully as the oils in the leather get rubbed and displaced resulting in slightly lighter patches to give this bag some visual complexity. It’s truly a thing of beauty.
Horween duffels usually retail for $600-$1200. As always, at Gustin we've worked hard to bring you a much better value.

What Customers Are Saying
"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."

"Your great quality product and customer service are reasons I've been a long time customer and will continue to do so."
-Sean S. | Verified Buyer
"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."
