This denim was the first find that came from our global search for selvedge. We had a feeling it would make for a stunning pair of denim. Based on the response it has received it seems we're all in agreement. The Rainbow Selvedge. Enjoy it and wear it well.
Finding great fabric that you likely will never see anywhere else is one of the most unique parts of GUSTIN. A specialty denim mill in China has deftly combined classic, quality raw selvedge roots with an absolute explosion of color. The classic roots start in the warp. A dark midnight indigo. It's as deep a starting point as you can find. Starchy and rugged, the 12 ounce weight is a middle ground we've come to respect for its balance of usability and toughness. The weft is where things take a bold and colorful turn. A range of colored yarns is deployed to create a vivid rainbow effect on the backside of the fabric. The colors change slightly with each batch. The pictures tell the full, glorious story. You definitely see the rainbow glowing through the top as well, but it's not overpowering. The balance is just right - special but not screamingly loud. Finding this in a 100% cotton, selvedge composition makes it even more special. Enjoy this one.

"I think the material quality here is wonderful. It's rigid, the colors are deep (and pop). However, these do not run the same size as your traditional jeans. They are going to run tighter. I usually have a little extra space on a 31 waist. These are very tight, and since there are no returns on these, I've been doing what I can to loosen them a bit. Consequentially the front pockets are harder to get my hands in. I think a little more fabric would be wonderful just in the pocket area."
